People come from all across the country and beyond for fun and interesting weekends on The Farm.
The Farm Experience Weekend gives those interested in The Farm and life in community an opportunity to learn and explore the possibilities, and to meet the people who have made this their path.

We usually begin on Saturday morning with a good stretch at our yoga studio.
It’s the perfect way to begin the day.
After breakfast we begin our tour of The Farm, including stops by a variety of homes that illustrate different examples of green construction.
For example, this energy efficient Deltec home is manufactured at a factory in North Carolina which is totally energy independent.
The modular home is then assembled on site, reducing labor costs.
Our Spiritual Midwifery workshop is a featured part of every Farm Experience.
It provides an opportunity to learn about the history, philosophy and the current operation of the midwifery center, including workshops and training.
The Ecovillage Training Center was set up to provide examples of many different types of alternative technology all in a central location.
See examples of natural building materials and techniques , permaculture design, solar in multiple applications, water collection and treatment and more.
Interns and apprentices often come for extended stays to participate in long range projects, from natural building and organic gardening to video production and web site design.
There are several solar panel installations around the community powering various businesses, as well as supplying power back into the grid.
Farm Members and weekend visitors share many meals, offering the chance for questions and dialogue about what our life is really like, the strengths and weaknesses of life in community and the benefits that come with the intertwining of human relationships.
We talk about the community’s goals and vision for the future and our openness for new people to come and join our efforts.
